Connecting communities

CTC Acquires Wilderness Wireless

We are thrilled to announce that CTC has acquired Wilderness Wireless, a local provider of Wireless Internet services for residents and businesses in rural parts of Idaho and Oregon.

The Story of Wilderness Wireless

The lack of decent rural connectivity motivated Wilderness Wireless company's founders to start Wilderness Wireless. Their technology-driven founders paved the way for blistering-fast internet to the remotest of cabins. They envisioned a wireless network that shoots from Boise over Bogus Basin mountain, delivering fantastic performance, and a business model that can quickly expand into new rural communities.

After 15+ years after their beginning, they join with CTC to continue pushing the limits of technology and bringing the best internet to customers.

Expanded Service Territory

CTC now has additional resources and capabilities to provide service to an expanded territory. Wilderness Wireless can serve customers as far west as Burns, Oregon, and Idaho city in the East, North to Crouch, and South to Mayfield.
